This is our second stay at Isonzo and it was even better than the first. Now that we know that we should communicate our breakfast preferences upon booking or at least the day before so that Titiano (who runs the entire operation by himself) can procure the necessary items, in my case eggs and other necessary proteins and sugar free whole grains, everything seems perfect. I would recommend that others do this as well since the proprietor is very concerned that his guests have a completely satis.
alle vurderinger » Titiano is an excellent host and our accommodations were excellent. He pick us up and dropped us off at the nearby airport and provided helpful advice concerning a restaurant and attractions in the area. The price to value ratio on this B&B is very high. He has promised to take my wife to the airport at 5:30 am the morning of her departure and take me as well to my much later departure. We felt very well cared for. This was a great location for us near the Friuli airport. It is a quiet place with terraces and lovely grounds. Tiziano the host was very helpful, picked us up from the airport, gave us excellent tourist info. He was a cyclist and was helpful in that regard as we traveled with our cycles. He connected us with affordable transportation when needed and in general he was very welcoming. Excellent service. My plane arrived early and the owner went out of his way to pick me up at the airport. Local restaurant had lovely food. Room was nice for the price. I needed a place to stay overnight because I was catching a bus from Trieste airport to Croatia the next morning and this was a great choice. I loved the atmosphere and the warm welcome & hospitality of the owner. He is very flexible and will bake delicious cookies for you! I loved the look / colors / atmosphere / style of the rooms and bathrooms, too. Quiet location close to the airport, neatness and cleanliness. Nice and clean place, quiet and verry kind staff. The room The price. As an American and a diabetic I found the breakfast menu too limited to be useful. We are booked in again in about 10 days, the night before we leave the Trieste area, and I will request in advance that an egg to be added to my breakfast. When I was young I loved this kind of traditional Italian breakfast of coffee and sweets, but as a senior traveler I'm afraid I must avoid this menu. Cost of taxi from/to airport (Eur 8 from, 15 to go to airport in early morning). - Location (Thought it was nearer the Trieste Airport) and the dependency to call a Taxi or to ask the people from the B&B - 10 Euros to pick me up at the Bus drop after 10pm because the Bus was late - Weird welcome to the B&B.
