Very lovely location, welcoming foyer, excellent breakfasts, cleanliness. Treviso is a delightful city, winding alleys of shops, not touristy at all, with canals and mostly all bicycle or pedestrian only, whimsical shops - like a mini-Venice without the commercial aspects. You can walk to the train station and take a half hour train ride for 5 euros to Venice. Our visit was to Venice but having been to treviso we decided to use it as our base. Treviso itself is both picturesque and vibrant, yes it's noisy at night but a nice noisy, not a rowdy noisy. Ad Venice is a mere 25 mins away by train. The hotel was spotless, breakfast basic but sufficient to start the day.
alle vurderinger » The bed was very comfortable. The room and adjoining washroom were nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast was good, with fresh bread and whatever kind of coffee you wanted made to order. The location was perfect - right in the centre of Treviso. The staff were perfect, too!. Courteous, helpful staff. Pretty hotel in great location. Wifi in bedrooms was fine - may have been upgraded following other comments. Il Focolare and Treviso are a good base for getting to Venice and surrounding Veneto towns by train and then to return to for a relaxed evening. Great hotel, really good location,helpful staff, nice breakfast room and rooms. Study available to guests to sit in which is very nice. Wifi in lobby only. Treviso is a great place for a relaxing weekend and this hotel is the perfect place to stay. The ambience and central location is terrific , staff excellent attitude and helpfull , cute pensione style , no lift , but we didnt mind the top floor ,good sized room ,. Good breakfast. Lovely room, very homely place. Location. Should point out to travelers that you can't drive up to Il Focolare and park in the front. Driving around Treviso is a bit maddening since there are so many streets marked only for pedestrians and bicycles - so you have to drive to a street called La Campana and park temporarily and carry your bags two very short blocks to the entrance, and then go back and move your car to a place you can park - about five blocks away is a public free lot. As a solo traveller my room was quite expensive considering its size. I saw into some of the double rooms which were palatial, more than three times the size of mine and not even twice the price. I would have liked more fibre at breakfast such as muesli, the choice of whoemeal bread and more fruit. Apples were the only fruit available. Breakfast room , very limited range of food , very stuffy and hot ( visited in June ) Management please adress this one glaring problem , and you will be terrific all round. Overpriced. No croissants at the breakfast. No lift available should you prefer a lift facility due to the age of the building. 2Nd floor room, no lift. The staff helped to carry my bag, though. Mold on the bathroom wall. Wifi and cell phone did not work in the room, only the lobby and breakfast area. The room we had at the front was a bit noisy on a friday night as it is a very buzzy bar area. It didnt keep us awake but it may keep others.Bathrooms are a bit dated although still fully functional compared to the rest of the lovely hotel. More variety of breads/croissants and fruit needed at breakfast. On the two days we were there, there were WIFI-troubles. Bed was a little uncomfortable. The price could be lower. Breakfast very limited. No elevator. No wifi available in room. Breakfast. no tea or coffee maker in room. the noises from the street (bars, people going home) in the night. nothing in particular. The location was very good but there was a very noisy wine bar underneath which didn't close until 2am and the noise meant little sleep!. 1. No lift. 2. The hotel is situated next to a bar that seems very popular, and each evening we were there we were delayed getting to sleep because of the noise despite closing blinds, windows and curtains - on the Saturday the noise continued until well after 1am. No refrigerator in room Airconditioning insufficient Bedlamps like projectors. The breakfast didn't match my expectations; this isn't a cheap hotel, however, there was no fresh fruit salad (only whole apples) and no fresh croissants. Room on 4th floor and no elevator. No assistance from hotel staff with my bags. Breakfast was basic. Although they advertised wifi in the rooms, it did not function past the second floor. Would not stay at this hotel again based on price and services.
