  Our stay at Hotel Vapore was very enjoyable – a good location in town, the staff is very accommodating and speaks English, the restaurant is excellent, room accommodations good, and the views over Lake Como were SPECTACULAR! Breakfast was fairly standard and consisted of cereals, breads, cheese & meats and beverages. Less than a 10 minute walk to very good hiking t - We loved everything about Hotel Vapore! The room itself was simple and clean, with a perfect 180 degree view of the lake. We ate dinner at the lakeside hotel restaurant 3 out of 4 nights and the food was delicious. The town Torno is quaint and does not feel touristy like some other areas of the Lake Como region, and easily accessible by ferry and bus. We would definitely visit again.

  We love this hotel- been before and will come again. It's not your glamour resort but a family built and run hotel carved into the hill directly overlooking Lake Como. The view over the lake is superlative, rooms are spacious and clean, with good sized balconies, and the restaurant food is excellent. Breakfast at 8.50 euros per person was tasty, substantial and of good variety. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food and service. Watching the lights coming on around the lake as we dined added some magic to the experience.

  We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere to relax around the Lake and did not want to be among a throng of people. Apart from when the main road was closed due to an accident we got that. It was very peaceful. By one of the minor ferry stop off points and close to a major one it allowed a little boat hopping. We like a drink with our - Antonia and Samuel are great hosts. They will do everything to make your stay perfect. Very helpful on how to get around and what to see. Their restaurant serve great food for breakfast and dinner. Our room was very nice and clean and had a lakeview. It was great. The conveniences (ferry, bus) were just outside the door. Antonia and Samuel have a sign at the reception that says something like "you arrive a customer, but you leave as a friend" I would definitely go back without a doubt.
