A real treasure of a place. Spotlessly clean and in a perfect location overlooking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Elena the owner was kind, helpful and very patient with my limited command of the Italian language. The gardens, which are vast, are immaculately kept and the resident dog called Billy is a real sweetie and understands English with no problem. We couldn't really fault Casa Elena and our only negative comment would be that if you are disabled in anyway do be aware that the complex .
alle vurderinger » We lovedour stay at Casa Elena. The apartment was very comfortable and attractive with amazing views across the bay. Elena was a warm and friendly host and gave us good advice about where to eat and route directions. Elena helped us to feel very welcome and provided provided tasty treats from the area on our arrival. Elena's home made lemoncello is delicious and it was lovely to walk around the beautiful garden and see the lemons growing on the trees. Thankyou Elena, ee wil definely recommend. We stay for 3 nights at Elena house. Information from site are accurate (we find very easily the location following GPS coordinate). They have a beautiful lemon garden in front of the house of guest (which is separate from their living house) with a lovely view to Naples golf with Vesuvius and Capri. There is also a mini kitchen where you can prepare your breakfast (if you don't want to eat their sweeties). Elena was a delight. I got my daily Italian lesson and she got her daily English lesson as we interacted. She took us into her lemon tree grove to pick fresh lemons. The room was great and very spacious with air conditioning and a great terrace overlooking the bay. What a great value!. The staff is amazing. It felt like being at home. My friend and I would make dinner every night, sit in the courtyard and watch the sunset. The room itself is wonderful and everything is clean. It was also so nice to have a kitchen. Elena left us tea and cakes during our first night. First of all we love Elena. She was perfect. A real chance to know how to maximise the service to the geust. She directed us to the correct places. Her tips saved us a lot of time.The room was very clean, fully equiped, including all the small things tourist needs. Don't miss it !. The location was wonderful with breathtaking scenery, an utter gem of a place. Elena was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were modern, clean and well equipped, thoroughly pleased my six night stay. Casa Elena is situated just above the coastal town of Sorrento. . It is away from the noisy downtown and has a beautiful view of the coast below. The room was clean and nicely equipped with a kitchen . The owner was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location. It is nicely tucked into the mountain side and easily accessed by the local bus service. View was amazing, and I felt at home..... amazing apartment, quiet and cost x benefit was excellent!. Beautiful apartment overlooking the bay. Rooftop for sunbathing and the garden if you want shade. Nice, clean room. Very nice garden, well maintained. Elena was very helpful, good reception. The view is excelent over Napoli bay and mount Vesuvio. Mrs. Elena is very friendly. Locality. N/A. Pretty close to the town. Still you cannot walk (or maybe you can, but we cannot ) as there are 4 km to city center and there are no sidewalks and the traffic is infernal and also on the way back you should climb for 4 km . The WiFi signal was poor. The location is about a 15 minute bus ride out of Sorrento in the hills. This is great because it is wonderfully quiet but the irregular bus service does make it a bit of a challenge to get to town. Without a car it is hard to make it to Sorrento because you must depend on the bus route that comes every 20 to 40 minutes. It is not hard to use but it would be wise to understand the bus schedule as soon as you arrive in case you need to use it during your stay. There is a stop about 20 feet from Casa Elena. That we stayed only 2 days. Because of the steep hill , parking the car was tight and difficult. We could have taken a bus into the town below , but it would have been inconvenient. Barking dogs. They would bark a lot. It looks like the neighbours do not control their dogs. They would bark across the valley to each other. .......n/a. Parking is difficult!!!. Very thin walls and a crying baby next door ment little sleep. The landlady/owner kicked us out at 10 on the day of departure despite a note on the wall in the room clearly stating that it was at 12.
