This was our first trip to Rome and the owner, Gianluca helped make it a
memorable stay. The guesthouse was just remodeled and everything was
brand new. The rooms were spacious and well designed with 10-12ft
ceilings and beautiful decorating. We especially enjoyed the large
shower head in the shower. The towels were soft and replaced daily. The
room was made up daily. One thing we especially look for in comments is
the word clean. These rooms were very clean. We felt as comfortable as

Almost everything was great....almost because the guesthouse has been opened only recently (about a month old) so it's still a work in progress. Having said that, every basic necessity is in place, it's just about putting additional final touches to make the place that much more comfortable for the guests. The very obliging owner, Gianluca, went out of his way to cater to our needs. He speaks excellent English, having lived in the US for many years. The rooms are more than comparable to rooms i.
Gianluca the owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, and was interesting to talk to as well. We booked to stay again when we came back through Rome a week or so later. The guesthouse is in a great location, near the Vatican, the metro and bus lines and there are plenty of good places to eat round about, including La Cremeria Antiqua where breakfast was arranged for us and La Fiorentina around the corner with fantastic pastries and cakes. The guesthouse is approached through a charm.
Rest Guesthouse is essentially a big modern appartment, located in a typical Rome "palazzo" and divided in guest rooms. Each room is spacious, confortable and well-equipped. There is a common area and coffee making facilities. The owner, Gianluca, is present in the mornings and can help you with anything you need. The location is great, near the Ottaviano metro station, fifty meters from the Vatical walls, surrounded by huge roads, reastaurants, shops etc. The whole experience is certainly diff.
By North-American standards, the guest house is effectively a large apartment with 4 bedrooms and a common area. Everything looks brand new and is squeaky clean. The white walls are a little bland, but I wasn't in Rome to stay in the room.
Fantastic location, one block from Vatican city, a few blocks from a metro station.
The price was right and included a healthy breakfast that was taken in a nearby restaurant - great value.
The owner was very nice and very accommodating with my requests.
I w.
wonderful stay. great hotel in great location not far from the metro - 5 min walk.
Guisseppe was a great host and very helpful.
I can recommend the transport service wholeheartedly - we booked the trip back to the airport which was very reasonable and wished we had done the same on the way - not much more money than the bus but overall would have saved us more than an hour and a half of messing around with the bus and metro.
will be returning on our next short trip to rome.
It's a new place, nicely furnished. It was very clean, they made cleaning everyday changed the towels and etc. Location was 3 mins. walk from Vatican and close to metro stop. On top of all Alessandro and Luca were perfect hosts. Help us about everything, very friendly nice people.
Excellent location, right next to Vatican. The guest house is newly done so everything is crystal clean and new. The owner is an extremely kind and helpful gentleman who is always willing to help with any sort of a problem. My best accomodation in Rome so far.
Everything was perfect. The staff is very helpfull and nice, really taking care of the guests.
Wonderfull breakfast (served in a bar nearby), awesome rooms and shower. Localization is ideal.
Love it!! Everyone should stay there.
Gianluca D'Onofrio, the owner was VERY helpful and available when we planned our tours/trips etc. We liked the brand new clean and remodeled room in the beautiful old building. Very safe and secure feeling too. And lots more!.
Location near Vaticano and near subway station Ottaviano.
Clean and cosy rooms with new furniture and well functioning air-conditioner (like in 5-star hotel).
There is a condition for cooking by yourself.
The room looks like you're in a 5 star hotel. Really nothing to complain about. Clean, very helpful and nice staff, high quality furniture, and modern room. Amazing deal for the price.
Gianluca was waiting for us at the airport as we had arranged. He was extremely helpful during our 2 night stay. The guesthouse was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Good location next to the Vatican, new clean rooms, a nice bathroom and a very friendly host! I have nothing negative to say.. Grazie mille Gianluca!.
Lovely high ceiling room, with wonderful shower facilities, and great location in close proximity to The Vatican, and convenient to a Metro station.
Very clean and very nice to know locca . He was amazing person with big heart and excellent hospitality , we will miss you locca.
If you dont mind having breakfast in a small bar outside, this place is just amazing. Far above Italian hotel standards.
Surprisingly a modern B&B close to the centre of Rome.
Metro 3 minutes walking.
Safe and secure. Beautifully maintained. Excellent and helpful owner.
Beatiful rooms, very good location, friendly staff.
Accessibility, Cleanliness, Value for Money.
I loved the staff. Clean and pretty.
Fabulous rooms with great staff!.
Brand new very modern. Not quite finished, but very well thought out.
We couldn't find anything we didn't like.
There was nothing about Rest Guesthouse that we didn't like.
I think Gianluca should change the plaque in the palazzo entrance for a bigger one, or add some directions on the hotel's page. Via Veniero is strangely numbered (no 9 is on the side of the EVEN numbers) and it took me sometime to find the entrance!.
My room had a window on the street, and the street is very noisy. It did not bother me - I enjoy the hustle and bustle. However, a light sleeper should request a room on the inside courtyard.
Nothing, it was perfect.
Nothing. Everything was perfect!!.
Couldn't find anything we didn't like.
Sometimes I was in need of Luca but he wasn't in the hotel (for example, when I checked-out).
The stairway up to the hotel needed some more light. Other than that, nothing.
Hopefully breakfast will improve when it is served in the guesthouse. Sweet pastries for breakfast at the coffee bar were not to our liking, but really a minor matter.
The entrance, but rest assure, it's amazing when you get to the b&b!.
Location is too busy and very limited eating options.
