Rooms were well appointed and everything worked. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

Nice hotel. We had an amazing view. It's old, it's Italian, don't have the highest expectations. AC didn't get cool in our room, but it's was around 75F so not too bad. Parking is really minimal. Great location for Eolian islands cruises. Stayed in triple room (suite) and it was very spacious. Bathroom very nice. We didn't had breakfast included, but we had dinner one evening. The service was very good and the food delicious.

Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh.
Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable.
No problem getting there. Just use the coordinates you receive from Balarte or the 'location on the map'-feature in your TomTom. letsbookhotel.comsite gives you the exact location. Also Balarte signs on roads close by.

Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

Excellent hotel, walking distance from the cable car going up Mount Etna.
We arrived late at night, but the man at the reception was extremely nice!! He explained all excursions, answered all of our questions (millions of them), and was able to share with us his love of the volcano. This certainly made our stay.
The room was great, super clean, wifi is great.
