The apartments were 200m down from a large supermarket, so cooking in the apartment was made easy. The apartment is not close to the centre of Florence but is easily accessible by bus number 22 from the train station and centre of Florence (about 15-20 mins on the bus). If taking the bus there ring ahead and ask the staff exactly where to get off!

The hotel was simply perfect! Ultra-modern design, clean and light room with free internet, orthopedic chair, tea and cofee making facilities, 'smart' bed, lots of amenities in bathroom etc. Excellence for as little as 70 Euro per night. Very attentive staff, both at the reception and in the breakfast restaurant.
The area looks dodgy at first, but it's just around the corner of the residential area with shop and restaurants.
There is a direct bus into the city centre, you can buy tickets at the reception without any surcharge. -
