Surrounded by 23 hectares of land in the Chianti area of Tuscany, La Moraia is a farmhouse producing olive oil and wine. It offers Tuscan-style apartments with a modern kitchenette, dishwasher and flat-screen TV. During summer, you can swim for free in the pool with views of the surrounding countryside.
Apartments are set in the main building or in an annex within the La Moraia’s grounds. Each has wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Some have a fireplace, and face the garden, pool or nearby woods.
You can buy olive oil at this family-run property, which also features trotting horse stables.
Shops and cafés are found in Poggibonsi, 4 km from the Moraia. Siena and Florence are respectively 40 and 35 minutes away by car. You are advised to bring your own vehicle as the property is not serviced by public transport.

We loved everything about La Moraia - its natural surroundings, quiet and relaxing environment, the lovely family cottage where we stayed, its swimming pool, amazing hosts - Ilaria and her brother, Enrico.....!! We are certainly going back there again!!!.

The views are great and the it is central to some great Tuscan experiences. It has a great rail connection and Poggibonsi is a small friendly town.
Cozy countrysideplace with wodden internior and nice surroundings for redwine and sigthseeing in the smaller old towns..

The accomodation was good and the countryside fantastic.

The road to get there.
Basic but very clean. You had to hold the shower and the road getting there was unpaved. But accessable.
