  The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and the food was incredible - Staff were friendly even after a mix up with the Laundry service and the hotel was clean and nice. Location is a bit out of the way but with a car it's manageable. We did day trips to the area. If you like driving hairpin corners this is the location for you!

The Hotel is up on a hill and per pedes its very exhausting to get there! The town itself is a good place to stay, if you like to be amoung italians! The most tourists are in Sorrento....

Friendly staff, spacious room,comfortable bed etc... The town of Castellammare di Stabia is not verynice, so you have to drive to Amalfi coast to get decent views.   I absolutely loved my stay at Il Pettirosso. Set in the mountains behind the Amafli Coast, it's a true haven away from the main tourist towns. The room was big, spotlessly clean, with what looked like brand new furniture, including two big wardrobes and a good sized desk. I had a huge double bed and a balcony looking over the mountains. There's no menu, which I loved, just three tasty courses with wine and water for a very reasonable price. - Everything about ii pettirosso was fabulous from the welcome to the goodbye, the food was great proper Italian food, Ima and Eguane who own ii pettirosso are great cooks, the room was very spacious, very clean and if you needed anything at all you only had to ask, Marriana spoke very good English and could easily translate as our Italian was nil.   The place was really clean. It is situated not on the coast, but on the mountains. I think it is perfect for who wants to visit the Amalfi and the Sorrento coast. It is beautiful to rent a motorbike and visit those areas with it. It is a bit far from the sea, but the landscapes seen were incredible! A must! - the house located kind of far from all major cities. like Positano and Amalfi... but it is close to the top of the mountain where you get a breathtaking veiw on the Amalfi coast. the owners were friendly, but couldnt speak English. Anyways it was good stay, nice breakfast and clean rooms. That is all we needed.
