My favourite stay throughout my 5 week trio. My only regret is that I did not stay here longer. This place was amazing. Location was outside the city walls but near enough to walk over in a quiet environment. I loved the luxurious touches from the quality bedlinen to the creamy soap. The hosts were amazing and made us feel at homeand went above and beyond to make our stay special. E.G. in a discussion I said that I wanted to try the figs in Europe. Even though it was end of season and difficult.
alle vurderinger » We loved every minute of our stay. The house was calm, friendly, beautifully decorated and our hosts were very welcoming. The room was outstanding, with a fabulous big bed, enormous shower and great balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast was tasty, lots of typical continental choices and little extras, served in the garden. The house is 5 minutes walk to Lucca's gates and couldn't have been more convenient for the station.The whole experience was brilliant, from our first welcoming email. Everything about Al Porto Di Lucca was outstanding! The service was impeccable, the rooms were lovely and comfortable (especially the bed and pillows), the bathroom was more than adequate (soft, large towels, too!) and the shower was fabulous. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and pleasant. Breakfast was a joy--bountiful, delicious and served on lovely china in a beautiful garden setting. We loved our stay in this jewel of a B&B. It was quiet and peaceful, . This B&B was in a great location, short walk from the train station and just outside the city walls. The owners were extremely hospitable and we felt right at home upon arrival. Our stay coincided with the Feast of Santa Croce, and knowing how busy the restaurants would be on the night of the feast, we were contacted by the B&B a week before our arrival regarding restaurant reservations, which they promptly made. This went above and beyond our expectations. The food served at break. Very close to the station, with a very short walk to the town gate. The Owners were especially warm and friendly. The room itself was PERFECT for our needs, with a HUGE shower and very comfortable bed. They provided bikes with which to tour the town, even leading us through the gate of the town. The Breakfasts were delicious and hearty with personal service and a nice chat with the hostess. This is THE place to stay when visiting Lucca. This is now our standard by which all others are judged fo. Really friendly service, warm welcome and very helpful. We loaned bikes every day to see in and around the city. The B&B owners gave great tips on places to go and things to see and do. The rooms were clean, the towels fluffy and sheets cotton, cool and crisp. The garden was great for sitting and relaxing with a drink before heading out for an evening meal. The breakfasts more than set you up for the day. A wonderful and friendly.
