The hotel staff were simply magnificent and were always looking to help us with, for example, directions for days out of Florence, booking train tickets to Rome and restaurant reservations. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the serving of drinks and aperitivo in the library was a nice touch..

  Excellent value for money and close enough to centre to walk; 15/20 minutes. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Parking can be a problem but after the first night we were given a space in the hotel garage round the corner. Best if you have a small car. Also found 3 very good reasonably priced local restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Breakfa - It was very nice and confortable, the rooms were modern and had every facility, breakfat was really good. They rent bikes so you can visit the city faster! But anyway, its just a 10 minute walk away from the Duomo, which I think is the main attraction, the hotel is close to a supermarket and different shops, cafes and restaurants, I really enjoyed my stay, the staff is pretty kind and helped me with everything i needed.Totally recommended!

  We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and very clean although can get very loud at night, must sleep with the window and shutters closed to avoid this. We'd been to Flore - We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Antonio who was wonderful! He oriented us to Florence, gave us a map, and made recommendations. He also recommended and helped us plan a day trip to Lucca. He helped us find train times and recommended a great restaurant. The room was large enough and each child had their own bed. We liked that fact that is was away from the crowds in a quiet neighborhood. Although the breakfast is mostly sweets, there is a grocery store next to the Ponteveccio,
