  We stayed for a weekend and it was a very pleasant experience. Our apartment was larger than expected (intended for 6 and there were just 2 of us). Our dog was more than welcomed by the helpful staff that gave us precious hints as to excellent restaurants in the area. - we found everything perfekt.   The hotel has a great location if you own a car. You can visit Grosseto city centre, and all the towns on the coast. We stayed in August, and it was much cheaper than an hotel right on the beach.   The room was big , clean and confortable and nicely decorated. The B&B is in the center of the city , there is no parking but you can park in a parking very close to the hotel for 0.60€ per hour(night is free of charge).extremely kind and helpful , very friendly , we had very good breakfast with her , and she bakes lovely cookies :) , she made... hva folk sier » of us an excellent cappucino and proposed even proposd an other one. I would recommand this place to anyone going to Grosseto or near by. - It's located in the 'old town' which is a small old walled city, within the larger city. The pace is slow, relaxed and there's a village feel within the walls. I don't think there are a lot of english speaking tourists, and yet we had no trouble communicating with only basic italian. Fuvia, the owner, is lovely and speaks perfect english, although she is happy to give italian lessons! A lovely stopover on the way from Tuscany to Rome.

  The relatively quiet central location; the very helpful and friendly staff; the large comfortable double bed and good size room.   Being a woman travelling on her own and using the bus and train system in Italy, this hotel was great. I took a direct bus from Florence right to the hotel. The hotel is located at the main bus/train station in Grosseto. I came to the area to see the sites of Maremma. I could walk out the door of the hotel and take a bus to Castiglione Della Pesca... hva folk sier » ia, Albarese(to go to the nature reserve as well as to Marina di Albarese-an easy connection in Albarese), Grosseto di Marina, Follonica etc. The seas - The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, easily accessible by road & centrally located. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful, spoke English & couldn't do enough to help. We missed breakfast on the morning of our check-out, but were offered coffee & pastries prior to leaving the hotel. Grosseto is slightly off the beaten path, if you are on a tight schedule, but is well worth visiting.
