The hotel was very close to the main sights of Pisa (Leaning Tower was a 10 minute walk away). We also walked from the hotel to Pisa Central station - the whole of Pisa is in walking distance.
The room was big and airy. Bed was comfortable, and bathroom was clean.
The receptionist was also extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly, and the man working when we arrived late at 9pm helped us with parking and gave directions and advice on where to eat. Staff had excellent english. The eoom was spacious and clean. The location is great

I recommend this hotel to everyone who travels to Pisa or nearby.

to the Torre Pendente - we could have a nice walk to the tower every

Fantastic location with the leaning tower right in front of the window and in 200m walking distance. Very nice older hotel (therefore not the most modern outfit) with big rooms, comfy beds and nice old furniture. Bathroom was updated and perfectly servicable. Very good breakfast with great service and good buffet. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is right in front of the hotel.

This hotel was literally five minutes away from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. On our arrival the staff were extremely helpful and suggested a restaurant for a late night pizza. We were able to sit outside and have a lovely view of the Tower while was ate. The staff also helped by printing out vouchers which we needed for our visit to Florence. -

Great host and breakfast and perfect location for driving around. Just 5 minutes from Pisa on car (although, Lucca and mountains around are more interesting than Pisa).
Also, there is an awesome wolf living on premises. Don't worry, he is afraid of humans, so they keep him completely separate from guest area. You won't even notice him probably.

Although on a busy road the location is great for a brief stay in Pisa
with the main attractions just a few steps away. Traffic noise did not
cause us any concerns once doors and shutters closed. The staff were
friendly, willing to give local advice and professionally resolved a
maintenance issue, requiring us to move rooms, to our satisfaction.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Renovated in January 2013 by someone with excellent taste, perhaps the lovely owner who was ever so helpful. The hotel is in a residence built in the 1700s and has a few impressive paintings gracing its walls. It is in a street away from the action which could be good or bad depending on your tastes....no views of anything but really with all of the gorgeous decor one does not need an external view. The bathrooms in particular are WOW!

Marta is so lovely, A wonderful warm hostess. We had a beautiful room with a balcony with views of the green hills surrounding Lucca.
Every room is beautiful. Marta's villa is located an easy short 10 km drive from Lucca with onsite parking.
The breakfast was the best we had in our 4 week tour around France & Italy. Beautiful.
Even the towels & bedlinen were good quality cotton.
We would certainly return to Marta's if ever again in Lucca.
