This was our first stay at La Segolina, but certainly not our last! The original old Toscany farm house, surrounded by nature, was beautifully renovated, and the rooms are lovingly decorated. We stayed in one of the apartments with kitchen, which was equipped with everything necessary to cook a meal. The proprietors are wonderful people who willingly give tips (restaurants, etc.). La Segolina is a perfect choice for those who like biking or walking in nature. The apartment is nice and spacious. The hosts, Maria and Antonio will treat you like their own family. Iif you stay in La Segolina you'll surely taste Antonio's fantastic organic wine, enjoy the frangrance of Maria's lavendels. La Segolina is a perfect place to stay. The owners will do their utmost to let you have the perfect relax vacation. The appartment is new, very clean, big and perfectly decorated. A box with toys was even waiting for our little son. The appartment is very central located in the heart of Tuscany. We had a great vacation here and will definitely go back again. Maria has designed the place with great taste and feel of local nature. Enough privacy for those who need it. Good place to stay for exploring lovely San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena. Possible was to use kitchen and breakfast was richer than usually in Italy. Couple who owns the hotel (Maria & Antonio) are great people, they both helped us a lot. Great location and so peaceful. So close to Siena (15 km.) and other important locations in the area. We will go there again in the summer. They also produce organic wine which is perfect, you can also do wine tasting with them! We loved it!!!. The owner, Maria, was amazing. She made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and even provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine. The apartment we rented for 3 days was immaculately clean and furnished with everything we needed. It was also very cozy and romantic and decorated very nicely. Very nice and friendly owners, beatiful romantic room with possibility to exclude light in the mornings and sleep better and longer. Also hotel is in the middle of local attractions. The next time being in the same area we would stay in the same hotel. Maria and Antonio were excellent hosts throughout. The wine tasting evening (with food) was 1st class. Although bordering an industrial area the farm was well isolated from it and had countryside views. Free bicycles and off road route provide. I loved our stay here. Very hospitable, kind and friendly owners. Will definitely go back one day. The children had a great time at the pool which had a nice view of the Tuscan landscapes. Very relaxing holiday. An improvement would be to provide 'nets' over windows to help keep 'mosee,s' out at night. Nearby factories which have been allowed to spread into the countryside, although they do not impact on La Segolina. There really was nothing to dislike nor find fault with. Having to leave!.
