Samuale the manager there was very helpful and gave us recommendations for trattorias in the area that were really authentic. we are definately coming back as we got engaged in San Gimagnano (which youcan see in the distance) and we've already planned to get married at the

  We liked everything about Tuscany and staying at Casa Sola made the experience perfect. The family and staff were friendly and very helpful The winery tour and wine and olive oil tasting were very well done.   Absolutely wonderful apartment which felt like home. Extremely spacious as we had the quadruple apartment with one bedroom, a spacious living room/dining room & fully equipped kitchen. Good kitchen facilities were provided but with a couple of lovely restaurants a few kilometeres away in Barberino we didnt cook much.We made day trips to Florence , the Chianti area & San Gimignano - all within less than an hour's drive.In addition the Sant' Appiano area was good for walking & running and to top it off staying in a high quality vineyar
