Chef Hostel Montefiore is set in a UNESCO-protected town house of the early 20th century, in the centre of Tel Aviv's White City area. It offers free WiFi throughout, a garden with a bar and BBQ, as well as a shared lounge area with LCD TV and DVD player. Opened in 2011, Hostel Montefiore is run by a local family. Both rooms and dormitories are available and all have been completely modernised. They come with air conditioning and shared bathrooms. Guests can enjoy access to a shared kitchen. Montefiore Chef Hostel offers free walking and free introduction bike tours, while bike rental, as well as other tours can be arranged at a surcharge. A day tour to the northern cost and the Dead Sea is organised every Saturday, and the official city pub crawl meets here every Thursday and Saturday evening.

The staff were a joy, they really did go out of their way to make you have a great experience. For example, I realised on sabbat that I had to change up some money so I asked them if they knew anywhere that might be open. I was astonished and grateful when they said they would change it up there and then - it may not sound like much but it shows that this is a hostel that really cares about its customers, and it saved me a long and fruitless wander around town. They'll also tell you nice cheap .
alle vurderinger » I stayed at Chef Hostel for 21 nights and I loved every minute! From the moment I arrived, I was met by the friendly staff who made my time there so memorable. All of my expectations were met - or in some cases exceeded. The hostel is conveniently located, I was able to conduct all of my planned excursions with minimal effort or disruption. Train station, bus stop and even central bus station are all within close distance. There is a lovely grocers store on the same street, almost directly. Wow what a place!! Great vibe, laidback and friendly joint! Extremely helpful staff (all fluent English + many more languages). The family who run the hostel make you feel right at home. I was there during the Jewish New Yr and the family threw a communal celebration for themselves and their guests which was a great way to experience Jewish culture. The hostel has a great outdoor garden, common area, and kitchen. Its a great place to meet other like minded travellers as well as local friends of. Chef Hostel Montefiore is the perfect place to meet new people and make a friendship if you are travelling alone and looking for company. There is the nice backyard where guests can hang out and become acquainted. The conditions of living accord with whatever hostel’s conditions, you have your bed, linen, towel and common bathroom. Unpretentious but tidy. The staff is very much friendly and helpful. You can ask questions about current activities, directions, guidance, advises etc., and you will. The staff were really friendly, I felt part of the family. Fantastic value for money. Perfect location for the beach or touring israel. The perfect backpackers paradise. Very gay-friendly and eco-friendly. Great party atmosphere at nights. The hostel has plenty of activities to offer. E.G. bikes for hire or just enjoying an evening bbq or a dip in the swimming pool. I would certainly recommend this hostel to everyone. The hostel was very clean and the staff were really helpful when planning tri. as soon as you arrive you feel like you have come home. I stayed here just once before and immediately I was recognised by the staff and felt wanted and served well by the staff the are constantly cleaning around you and there is always a feeling of the place been run well and under control with the type of back packers clientele the serve there is always potential for a place being untidy , messy and rowdy. when people see there is authority in the air they respect the place. T he location is . The Hostel is absolutely awesome. You feel at home the whole entire time and the hosts make sure you have a comfortable stay. There is iron, hair dryer, towels and even an ironing board! The beach is a 15-min walk but the clubs are only 5 mins away (very convenient at night). The money exchange is close and the shopping is in the area as well. Rooms have air conditioning as well. Hostel has parties for its guests, the host sometimes cooks. There is also pub crawl twice a week. I initially was planning to stay only two days, but then extended for another to days as I really like the hostel..then for another two days..then finally i stayed 9 days :). The atmosphere in the hostel is really great!!! I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Tel Aviv, you will be satisfied with what you get. And the patio they have is just great place to mingle and make new friends and have meals together. Go for it!. This was the third time I stayed at the hostel, and I met really nice people when hanging out on the nice backside patio. The location is also excellent; walking distance to the beach and close to both tourist attractions and evening bars. The hostel was really nice, hosts are friendly, helpful, creative, organise great events in the hostel and outside, keep it clean. The structure of the hostel is well planned, rooms are cofortable, there is a huge common room and a nice yard with pool, stage, bar, big tables where people get together :). The Hostel is very well located, close to market and artists pedestrian area and not too far from the beach. On the few occasions when I was trying to sleep, early night in preparation for an early morning start; I was very aware of the hostel party and social atmosphere. Not really a bad point, more my problem for needing to get an early nights sleep. I didn't like having to leave. It was a bit dampy in the room, but I think it's because it was the basement floor. There are other rooms on first floor and ground floor. Girls room needs a big mirror ;). None. The first nights we were in a room next to the garden and there was loud music played every night until around 1:00 pm. I could only sleep when the music stopped, despite my earplugs. invest in a reception!. -shared bathroom for boys and girls. Temporary issues got fixed, well. You cant bring beer from outside... Facilities are basic bedding, bathrooms etc not a major problem if you go with realistic expectations. As there is a problem with car parking in general in Tel Aviv, it is better to communicate the parking slot early with staff. Nothing. Nothing!. in th rooms downstares they just painted walls and the smeel was deep. I think the restroom can be more conivent for guest to take a shower. And here is one thing I need to say is that if you need to change my room , you should tell me first. Not until I came back , my room had already changed by the staff. None. Little bit too long staying up at nights and getting up late in the morning - at least for most of the guests. Staff tried to charge 100 shekels for late check in even though we had pre-warned them of our arrival. At our complaint on the matter however the owner said ok I will not charge you. Not easy to sleep in the dorms in the morning, but well.. it's a hostel ;). not enough bathrooms for all the guests… at least on the floor I stayed in..

For guests arriving later than 21:00, or 15:00 on Fridays, late check-in is possible but has to be prearranged. Please note that guests cannot bring their own linen.
