  Kinlay House is a travellers' hostel, so it's a lively place with lots of young backpackers passing through. It's practically next door to the Bells of Shandon (which you can ring, if you like). We were housed in a private room next door to the main facility, so maybe our room was quieter than the norm for the dorms, but we found the place complet... hva folk sier » ely comfortable, even if we could have been everyone else's grandparents. And Hamid Oucherfi, the manager, is genial and funny, genuinely engaged in g - Staff was very friendly, gave recommandations what to visit and where to go. We got a luxury room while we didn't asked for it, just because it was available. Very clean and cosy.

  The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay and we were able to check in early, before 12, into a large spacious room. The food quality was very good as were the prices. The hotel is only a short walk from the main shopping street in Cork and the surrounding area was quiet. The leisure facilities are good although the locker area needs an up... hva folk sier » grade. Overall the hotel facilities were perfect. - Location is superb, if you don't mind a bit of a hill. There are better hotels in Cork, but for a night out without pricey taxis etc you will be hard beat to find better than this place.

  I had a very enjoyable experience on a weekend in Cork with my friends. We found the Ashley Hotel to be a great spot to stay right in the centre, close to all the best, high-street shops. My room was nice, very clean and bright, had a comfortable double bed, although I booked a single room for myself. Hotel's car park is a great advantage.
