  Staff attention was second to none at this hotel. The room was very very good and bathroom similarly. Clean, comfortable, excellent value. Bar food realistically priced and served with a smile. Secure, free parking is added bonus.   The hotel and its staff were really good. The hotel was close to a bus stop which made it easy to get to town. The lady on the desk was very accommodating and tried to meet all of our needs. Although we checked out a night early they gave us a refund as the internet did not work.

  I found Egans to be the best possible combination of a 'chain' hotel and a private guest house. It was comfortable - especially the communal lounge area - clean, and nicely decorated, with very helpful staff. My room had everything I needed and was very good value for my 30 euros. The buffet breakfast set me up nicely for the rest of the day. O... hva folk sier » verall, a very handy base from which to explore Dublin, near a main road for transport, but situated in a quiet residential street. I'll be back. - We rented a room for 5 people. It was a full size bed, and 3 twin beds crammed together in a very small room. We only stayed one night here, so being crammed together one night was no big deal. We had our own bathroom plus there was a public bathroom right outside of our door. The lady at the desk was very helpful and informative. She told us of our various options of getting into the city, which is a good distance away.

  The receptionist Ian was particularly helpful and had good advice as to where to visit during our short trip. The breakfast was good too - nothing fancy but you could help yourself to whatever you wanted. Kitchen and lounge facilities looked good although didn't use them much.
