Situated in County Kerry, just 8 km from Killarney, the Dunloe View Hostel is set in a rural farmland area with views of Mcgillycuddy Reeks Mountains. This family-run hostel offers free WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities, and free parking. The Dunloe View features a TV room with an open fire and a library. Rooms at the hostel offer views of the grounds and most have an en suite shower room with a hairdryer. Linen is provided and towels are available to hire. There is a kitchen which guests have access to for cooking. Home to St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney town offers pubs and bars. The base of Carrauntohill is 10 km away and the Gap of Dunloe is just 5 km from the hostel. The River Laune is 5 minutes’ walk away. Loch Leane, part of Killarney National Park, is a 5-minute drive. Local tours suitable for walkers, mountain climbers and outdoor enthusiasts can be organised at the hostel.

What a cozy hostel! Located in the countryside on the Ring of Kerry it is perfect placement for nature lovers. There are beautiful hikes all around and lots to do in the local township. The house itself is beautiful and homey, with great beds and plenty of space for lounging or socializing. The best part was the host John! Super funny guy and he truly cares that you have a good time. Also has plenty of great tips on things to do. Highly recommend it!.
alle vurderinger » We stopped two nights at the Dunloe View Hostel during our trip through Kerry. John welcomed us warmly and gave us many tips for visiting the area. The atmosphere of the hostel was cozy. The big table in the dining room encourages discussions between the guests which is appreciable. The kitchen was well equipped and the fresh eggs were tasty. John is always doing his best to help (advices, bus schedules…) and we really appreciated that. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. It was the best hostel experience I ever had with a very homey feel. The staff answered questions with enthusiasm and helped us out by making some calls for us and giving us helpful information. The hostel itself was very comfortable and there was fresh chicken eggs for our breakfast in the morning. It really felt more like a bed & breakfast than a hostel. I recommend it to everyone. This certainly did not feel like a hostel! Roomy, meticulously clean, a welcoming host and nice touches like the open fire. Loved the fresh farm eggs and homemade bread for breakfast. Great to be able to see the animals in the garden. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Everyone staying there seemed to love the place too. John was very helpful in providing local knowledge for days out. The Gap of Dunloe is not to be missed!. Everything was great!!! This was the best stay on our long trip! Liam was a great host. You make your own breakfast with their fresh eggs! You can pet the goat, and see the chickens. Beds were comfortable, and the location was right on the ring of kerry! The host had best dinner recommendation, and was as friendly as they come!. The staff is extremely kind, jovial and helpful. The place is really nice. You can eat eggs made by its hens....it is as to stay in a real farm: hens, rabbits, goats, a vegetable garden. The kitchen is well equipped and wide. We stayed in the double room with bathroom: really nice, clean and with a garden view. Everything! Cosy house, warm & friendly atmosphere, fireplace to spend evenings, garden around the house. A cat, a goat and nice chicken! And eggs for breakfast! Books and table games! Big beautiful dining-room! House-keeper! Views around! Mountains and lakes near the hostel!. lovely friendly staff with a great welcome. The breakfast was particularly nice ie. help yourself to cereal, bread, eggs tea n coffee. Very comfortable relaxing place to stay. Particularly nice for a hostel. we met nearly the whole family and everyone was perfectly nice and helpful. they have a lot of different animals and you get fresh eggs in the morning. they look after good food, bio and self made. The owner was super friendly, Premises was lovely, a nice place to hang out. Very welcoming place where we felt very much at home. Location was perfect outside of Killarney but very close also. Very personal atmosphere (Just 20 beds in total)and a great, family-friendly kitchen. Whenever i come back to Killarney area we will stay ägain at Dunloe View Hostel. Location was great and very good value.There was a real homely feel to the place. Friendly clean and welcoming environment. Amazing place, and beautiful house, clean, polite and very friendly people. The house is so sweet...very nice and cheaper. Very nice and comfortable house. Good place for families. Garden with animals, which the owner likes to show to children. Homely, cosy environment with friendly, helpful owner. Good sleep. For breakfast even fresh eggs from their chickens. The Staff, the garden, the fire in the living room, the beds, location, atmosphere. Fresh eggs and home made bread so you can make your own breakfast in the morning. Everything was great. The place itself, location, the comfy beds, the eggs.... Breakfast with homemade bread and fresh eggs! Super friendly owner. home made bread home made marmalade. Nothing. The only detail we could regret is that the bed was a bit short for tall people (over 2m). Wifi kept dropping out - a minor inconvenience. n/a. None. Unhappy we didn't get to stay longer on this occasion. Nothing not to like in dunloe view hostel. We highly recommend it. Nothing.
