  The Metropole hotel didnt look that much approaching from a distance but did we get a shock when we checked in and saw our rooms,the pool,and the breakfast was amazing.   The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay and we were able to check in early, before 12, into a large spacious room. The food quality was very good as were the prices. The hotel is only a short walk from the main shopping street in Cork and the surrounding area was quiet. The leisure facilities are good although the locker area needs an up... hva folk sier » grade. Overall the hotel facilities were perfect. - Location is superb, if you don't mind a bit of a hill. There are better hotels in Cork, but for a night out without pricey taxis etc you will be hard beat to find better than this place.

  Great Hotel, great value and excellent location!!! We walked to town for dinner - cute small downtown w/ some nice restaurants. Plus, hotel dining was excellent. Woke up early and we were the first people to arrive at Blarney Castle....splendid experience....we had the castle pretty much to ourselves. We will stay here again. - Everything.
