I stayed in this homestay in Feb 2013. The owner tells me it is two months old. The owner speaks excellent English and is very friendly and down-to-earth. He taught me how to tie the sarong the Balinese way (with a spiral tail falling in front). The location is excellent; about two minutes walk to the Ubud Palace (where you can watch Balinese dances at night), Tourist Information Centre and Ubud Market (Pasar Ubud). This is a good starting location to soak in the culture and beauty of Ubud. The.
alle vurderinger » It is a really nice place and I highly recommend it to people who look for a simple and cheap but at the same time nice and clean place. Unique Homestay is very new and clean especially if I compare it to a place for the same price I stayed before in Ubud. The rooms are decorated in a pretty way and there is hot water. Breakfast is nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The owner provided us (always when we needed) with a car for a honest price and friendly English-speaking driver. We really enjoyed our stay at the Unique homestay, the family who ownes it is so nice, they serve the best breakfast on the balconies and help you with renting a bike etc. Our room at the top floor was very new, clean and spotless witth å nice warm shower. The location is also perfect, and the wifi was working all the time, with strong connection. The staff was very helpful and available all the time. Very nice stay in a family home on a main road but in the very quiet courtyard place with garden. They served very nice and variable breakfasts. You can arrange a tour with them. There is a possibility to use beauty saloon and massage center. Very pleasent place just in the city center of Ubud. Lovely room with a scent of Balinese style. First night we stayed in a room at the frontside of the hotel and because the homestay is located at a busy road it was extremely noisy. We decided to leave but fortunately they had rooms at the otherside too, so we moved and it was a lot better. Finding it. Taxi driver had no luck and asking locals didn't help. Hard to communicate in English with the staff. Not clear about the cost of an extra bed. Sheets and towels did not look completely clean.
