From the moment we booked our room; the staff at Junjungan were professional in their approach.and did their upmost to make sure that our stay was enjoyable in every way. Dolyer, Siwi and Diiana were superb hosts; they organised for us to to see the Kecak dance and a local music recital at the village temple and in the nearby bamboo jungle, as well as booking our cooking classes and guided tours. alle vurderinger » Excellent place to stay in a very quiet area outside Ubud (very busy place) with lovely rice fields behind the hotel. Superb and very clean rooms, comfortable bed. The staff is very nice, efficient and always smiling. Breakfast are at the level of a four stars hotel. Should you need a driver to visit the area, I recomend you to ask for Putra. His English is not perfect but he will ensure you have a good day with him. In addtion, his wife cooks at a nearby restaurant. It is mainly for locals, no. Highly recommend. We stayed at Junjungan with our family and their mates for 3 days. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and so quiet. About 10 minutes by car from Ubud - transfers easily arranged through reception. Beautiful views across the rice fields. Excellent restaurant onsite, always willing to cook lunch at any time for you, breakfast great and the complimentary afternoon tea very refreshing. Thoroughly recommend. Nothing. Only one thing: they were renovating the roof and I was skeptical on arrival but assured if it is disruptive we can just tell them and they will stop the work. It never proved a problem and one small water leak had us moved to a new room. I'm sure the renovations of the roof will just further increase the service of the hotel. Breakfast is a la carte with limited choice from a set menu. A minor detail though. There are not that many good options for dinner in the restaurant but they offer free shuttle to Ubud so it's easy to dine somewhere else. A little out of the way, if you want to be in town all the time. But......They did take us. - Nothing really . *The walls and the ceilings are not sound proof, so that you can hear the guests in the room above walking about and the television can be heard coming through the wall from the adjoining room. Nothing. Lack of comfortable armchairs to sit and relax in the room and in the balcony overlooking the paddy fields. Inadequate lighting in the room to read comfortably. Inadequate air-conditioning or possibly wrongly located air-conditioner. As the place is resort style n little security features, was a bit apprehensive with the primitive door lock system n one of the toilet window cannot be locked. We took precaution putting chairs against the doors. Didn't sleep with a peace of mind due to weird sounds from other units or the exterior compared to when we are in a more populated hotel. Nothing. There was some building on site that they were very apologetic about so I was woken by hammers not roosters. Let's face it, Bali IS a building site. Big bath in room but no shower. Slightly out of town, but there is not much I didn't like about this resort. a little bit out of town so couldn't walk the distance..had breakfast served at the balcony but it was awkward since there was no proper table setting. Food needs improving here although not bad. Location difficult to find.
