  - Owners, they are just lovely. Very helpful, concerned about your stay and keen to give you guidance if needed. Another point, we got there maybe 2 hours later then expected that night because of a flat tyre (likely to happen in Iceland), they stayed up and were ready to cook dinner when we arrived. The day after, the owner checked the flat tyre ... hva folk sier » to see if it could be repaired (he has got tools to cope with such issues) and wrote me down all the way to the closest garage where I could fix it. - - Beautiful surroundings to hike/walk on April 13 out the door to the beach and up the brook to the waterfall. Great bird watching on the bay. Friendly hosts/hostess that were very helpful in their information about Iceland and in making recommendations for dinner, our next day plans, where else to stay etc. They also allowed us to play flute and fiddle music, fun to share.   Its location is near to the national park area so it is convenient to base ourselves here. The reception is not in the same block as the apartment with ensuite bathrooms although we didn't have much problem finding our way as we had our GPS. The apartment block was very well maintained, the shared kicthen and dining area are well stocked and spaci... hva folk sier » ous enough. A comfortable stay. - Loved the facility and decor, bright clean and colorful. Quiet. The communal kitchen was a fun place to eat, so many different languages being spoken and foods being prepared. I wish we booked at more hostels on this trip of 12 days.The receptionist spoke 5 different languages- pretty darn impressive all the way around.

  Our hostess was the most helpful person we met during our trip to Iceland. We had a misfortune of getting stranded due to snow storm and she did all she could to help us with our journey back to Reykjavik and did not even charge us for the extra night! Location is brilliant for exploring the peninsula and whale watching. We saw orca whales off the shore in the bay. Fantastic! - Nice and friendly reception staff (we had to call them once we arrived, but the instructions were easy). Clean facilities. We were the only ones staying there and so had the shared kitchen and bathroom to ourselves. There are large windows everywhere, showcasing the beautiful surroundings.
