The location of the hotel was really ideal - It was just far enough outside of the city that we could walk to the beach in less than five minutes, and walk into the city in 20-30 minutes. Lovely private swimming pool that was kept spotless and never full.
Plenty of sunbeds and poolside chairs.
Breaskfast for 6euro (3 for kids) with plenty of options available
Snacks available at lunchtime - limited but good value.
Close proximity to beach - 2 minutes walk and a further beach at 5 minutes with more facilities.
Bus stop for Chania at the end of the road - cost 1euro 10 and run regularly.

The location is great (the sea is at 1km, Rethymnon is close too), and so is the pool! Manousos welcomes you very nicely and is here to help during your stay if you have any question. A really nice place to stay, whether you are a group of friends or a family. -

Our stay was very good, the owner was the most friendly and client-oriented person we met during our 2weeks trip to Greece. It is only 2 min walk from the beach across the road. The room was big and quiet. The shops are 5-10 min walking. The pool was nice and clean. The hotel in not crowded.

We stayed at the Happy Cretan for three nights and the only bad thing I have to say is that we didn't have more time there. The hotel setting was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were fresh and clean along with being eco-friendly. The owner maintains a small store with basic supplies on the compound, which is very convenient considering that the ~30 people settlement is a long way from places with shops and does not offer any reasonable supply. Our suite was just amazing. Breathtaking view over the countryside. Wine and a few other products as welcome pack. Great staff, available at all time. This is the perfect place where couples or families can relax and at the same time, try the excellent products of the area. Teas, herbs, olive oil, different jam flavours and so on. I would recommend this place to all kind of people who wish to stay away from the chaotic town life.
