I rarely take the time to write reviews but Megaron was so exceptional that I felt compelled to comment. The service, room, breakfast buffet are extraordinary! We stayed there for one night, on September 9th. This is not the place if you're looking for endless parties and sandy beaches. It is actually away in the mountains (although about 20 kms to Iraklio), so it's ideal to relax while enjoying great views. Breakfast was excellent.

Our stay was very good, the owner was the most friendly and client-oriented person we met during our 2weeks trip to Greece. It is only 2 min walk from the beach across the road. The room was big and quiet. The shops are 5-10 min walking. The pool was nice and clean. The hotel in not crowded.

Really amazing villas, each in their own private grounds, not overlooked, with a small but adequate private pool each. We stayed in one of the bigger villas which was huge and well kitted out. We had loads of outdoor seating, recliners and table and chairs around the pool. There was a built in BBQ and outdoor Pizza Oven which was superb.

Went back after 5 or even more years. Everything was as good as i expected. Especially i like the management decision to renew the hotel. It is really unspecific for Europe. A lot of activities and friendly staff. My 3 years old daughter especially liked the mini disco and mini aqua park. -
