  Elounda Mare is perfection. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back. Our room had beautiful views and was very spacious and very clean. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.   The villa was very nice and compact; the garden was pretty, pool was good and was cleaned regularly, the house was nicely furnished, the game/gym room was regularly used by our children.   The staff were so welcoming , particularly Georgos , and the welcome meeting with free glass of champagne and smoked salmon blinis was a really nice touch . We were upgraded and our room was lovely with fabulous view to spinalonga and hot tub on the balcony . Another very nice touch was free bottle of very good quality Cretan red wine . This time a shared a bungalow-style 'house' (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, terrace and good-sized private pool) right by the sea and it was wonderful to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. The hotel is close enough to Agios Nikolaos to get there for an evening out, in five minutes, yet far enough away to be far from the madding crowd.

The place is beautiful and easy going, the people are amazing and even the other guests we encountered with were super nice.
