Sofia made us feel very welcome and, as we didn't hire a car, kindly picked us up and took us back to the bus station. It is a fair walk down into the town but we enjoyed the views and the exercise was needed after all the delicious Greek food! We would happily return to Nafplio, it's a lovely old city with great cafes to watch the world go by.

  My husband and I were totally impressed with the Agamemnon Hotel. It must be one of the BEST hotels in Nafplio for sure. The hotel is situated on the waterfront promenade, so no traffic noise at all! The room and bathroom were quite large for European standards. There are dozens of restaurants on the pro - Perfect location, nice staff and vivid town. We could enjoy the view to the small island from the balcony. Also the parking was not a problem even if the access to the hotel is limited due to the pedestrian zone starting in front of the hotel. There are many friendly and cosy bars on the seafront. In the evening the old center is great, many restaurants and shops and many turists. We could enjoy the Greek hospitality everywhere. It had a beautiful view from the balcony overseeing the town, harbour and Palamidi fortifications. The staff was always available, very helpfull and kind.
