  Renhold var fantastisk Personal utmerket - I recently (May 2013) went to Crete by myself prior to a business trip in Greece and as a woman traveling solo, I was most concerned with a safe and friendly place to stay at. They are friendly, attentive, extremely helpful and they care very much about their guests. My room was simple yet nicely decorated. It was cleaned - We have spent 5 days in the place and really enjoyed the location close to the sea. Just crossing the road takes to the beach and two restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop, several shops around and you can rent a car as well. The town is not noisy while still on a short distance to Chania. The closest beach is not a large one but it is still convenient and you can get in 10 minutes by bus to another one, much larger. Great food in local restaurants, nice location for a late walk.   The property is beautifully maintained with lovely gardens and the pool areas, bar and restaurant are adjacent to the sea with great views of the area. It is well located to supermarkets and other restaurants and is either a short car or bus ride to the main centre of Chania. The staff could not have been more helpful and even advised of traditional local restaurants and checked to see - The whole trip was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My previously holiday-shy boyfriend loved everything about the holiday and especially the restaurant (Corinne Star) in the grounds of the hotel. It was the best of the restaurants we tried in both Kalamaki and Chania. The staff were very hard-working, warm and helpful. The beachside setting was beautiful, westward facing so you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner at the poolside. Really hoping we can come back soon :)
