The location is perfect - right across the road from the new port with easy as pie access to the ferry to Corfu or Venice. The foyer is very luxurious, white leather lounges, mirrors, chandeliers, marble-looking tiles. The room was very comfortable, air conditioned. Just one thing - we had to close the curtains because the balcony allows the neighbours to see into the room if they are near the balustrade! We needed to leave the hotel before breakfast was due to be served but the night recep.
alle vurderinger » As soon as we arrived the receptionist had a great smile and welcomed us. We were just staying 1 night as we were getting the ferry to Venice. Great location, over the road from the port & close to town. We had room 203 which was big & on the front with a balcony overlooking the port. The room had a large fridge, which was handy. Good shower room, not huge but fine. Air con. The hotel is being decorated inside but caused no inconvenience to us. They very kindly gave us a very nice break. The family owners are genuinely nice people, and they have a lot invested in their hotel. The lobby with leather seating for at least 50, with a domed glass roof, and the smaller actual reception area with astounding custom marble is worth a visit even if you don't stay in the hotel. The wifi was excellent, a rarity thus far after 1 month driving around in Greece. We needed a room for a few hours while waiting for the ferry to Italy. The Astoria was convenient, clean and reasonably priced. The receptionist was very helpful. The price, friendly, welcoming receptionist, style of lobby, parking outside. Cleanliness, comfy bed, fridge, good shower, situation, balcony. We were made welcome at reception, and given excellent advice about where to eat, how to check in for the Venice ferry etc. Clean, location, owener's kindness, night receptionist availability, good quality breakfast, Value por money. Amenities in the room were good. Provision of a clothes press was an excellent idea for a city hotel. location and staff. Position of the hotel is just accross the port where you can easy go, even for afternoon trip to Corfu. Internet available and parking with easy access. Hospitality superb. Nice Location. Everything was excellent!. Not being able to stay longer!!. No coffee making facilities, better laid out bathroom toiletries but for the price we are not complaining that much. No adverse comments after a very short stay and early morning departure. The air condition not working well, however we were tired and did not inform the reception. Sure they would gine us another room. the decoration, very 80s. Everything is little bit outdated, but no major issue. This is a 2 star hotel not 3 star.
