This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night. I rarely take the time to write reviews but Megaron was so exceptional that I felt compelled to comment. The service, room, breakfast buffet are extraordinary! It's the first all-female run 5-star hotel I've stayed in from manager, dining maitre d' to porters. Sophia, the reception/concierge + Poppy the porter and service staff + Voula in the dining room go the extra distance to be kind and helpful. Everything about the hotel was good to excellent but the front desk staff, Irini and Toula were outstanding. They were very friendly and provided helpful info on how to best spend our siteseeing time on Crete and in Heraklion. - Got an upgrade to a great room on the 5th floor...very comfortable, quiet, well designed, huge bathroom... One of the best hotels I've stayed in (I'm a business traveler who spends about 200 nights a year in hotel around the world). The staffs were amazing. A special thanks goes to Miltos for all his help with finding good restaurants. I'd love to come back to his hotel at some other time. Thank you for such a wonderful time.
