  good location, good price, good staff. there's a market very close by (fresh food!), a fridge in the room (on the 6th floor you get a balcony too), and the acropolis is within easy walking distance. the owners are very friendly and helpful too. very clean, but simple (it's a 2 star hotel - don't expect great luxuries). decent breakfast. close ... hva folk sier » to the central metro station (so good if you have an early flight out). - This hotel is very clean, although it is on the fringe of a seedy area. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even giving us a box breakfast when our plane was leaving before breakfast. However, we did not like going out after dark except to the restaurant just across the street. Great location for sightseeing, 1/2 mile to the metro and Plaka. We would stay there again while in Athens.

  The hotel was beautifully decorated, neat, clean and comfortable. It is pretty far from the center of town, but the metro is a 10 minute walk and we used it often with 24 hour passes costing 3 Euros.   This is a fabulous hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights with my daughter, prior to going on to Santorini. Excellent location - do not be put off by the fact it is in a suburb of Athens - it is an extremely 'good' suburb with fabulous restaurants and shops and only a short car ride into the centre - we hired a driver from 'Georges Taxis' for the four... hva folk sier » days and like the hotel, I cant recommend them highly enough either. The easiest way to see all the sights when you only have a few days. the Y Hote - everything was perfect! very professional staff, very polite & helpful.
