  Friendly staff and welcome - great restaurant - very interesting hotel with much history - we only stayed one night as we were on our way to Italy by motorcycle, but would definately return for a longer stay. - Very pleasant. The hotel and the room are very nice

  My stay in the hotel was excellent and I liked everything from theappartment to the breakfast variety and the good food in the resturant.I am a frequent traveller and I went in many hotels around Europe but Ithink the Helmerhof is one of the best I stayed in. - Great breakfast, pleasant roomy accommodation, helpful staff.   What drew us to this hotel was its location and price. Honestly, we were a bit scared that it may be a little rough since the price was lower than any we have stayed in Europe and because there were no reviews to read about! So we took a risk, and it turned out wonderful. The owner was so friendly and the apartment was so clean! I value cleanlines... hva folk sier » s, and this was impeccable. There was a living room, bathroom, extra room (would be great if we had kids), kitchen, and a balcony with great views. Al - Sonja, the host, is a remarkable lady, very kind, attentive and helpful. She picked us up from the train station in Fussen and dropped us of there. The real apartment looks much better than seen from the photos. We had a very good time there, highly recommended.
