  We were there for Volksfest and it is a 10 - 15 euro taxi for a group of 6 depending on traffic so it was perfect location. It is about a 10 euro taxi into the city as well.   Been a long time since we stay at a Ibis Hotel. Last time was in 2007. Glad to know that they still are a familiar place. You know what you´ll get when you book a Ibis Hotel. And glad to know that they have improved. Bed and pillows were fantastic. Good shower and room decoration was better than we remember. Good price for Heidelberg - it's a budget hotel in Heidelberg which located next by Train Station. it's far away from old town, you better take city tram or bus or drive to there. have free parking but not enough parking space in front of the hotel. it's hard to find the 2nd parking area, you better ask you travel buddy to go to check-in first and get the instruction with map for getting to 2nd parking area.

  We staid just a night there, cause our flight was early in the morning. In the morning the taxi picked us up und brought to the airport (it is included in the room prise). Also we left our car in the hotel. That was a nice thing to pick it up so close to the airport after the trip.   This was a nice hotel with a compact but clean room with a very comfortable bed. The location was close to the train station and easy to find. It was also very convenient to the Cathedral and city sites. There was an Internet terminal in the lobby and free wifi there. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English well.
