My room had the best air-conditioning. It was very hot and humid in Koeln but I slept very well. Breakfast was good on the whole. Staff was very friendly at check-in. Location is superb right in the Hauptbahnhof.

We had a very clean, comfortable room overlooking the street on the first floor. The custom built furnishings were very nice, as was the walk in shower. Very comfortable bed. Liz from KL summed it up well. We had the top floor room which is split over two levels, and fro the top level we could see the Dom. Very convenient location, close to railway station and there is a suburban line almost right underneath the hotel now, so convenient to arrive into the city by train. Breakfast was outstanding, with local gourmet ingredients. Great staff. Quiet location too, set on a quiet back street just outside the central part of town. Highly recommend this place.

We thought that the standard of cleanliness and service of Sofitel was excellent and the food in the restaurant and tapas bar was also of high quality. The room, although small, had everything you'd need to make yourself comfortable for a couple of nights. The bed was excellent and the room was clean. The bathroom is really tiny but well kept, it has a hairdryer and a comfortably sized shower cabin. Bathroom heating is also included, so if you plan to visit during the winter, this is a big plus.

I thought the room was clean and a good value for the money. It was also centrally located but a bit hard to find.... google map did not match destination. It was nice to have the bar open and food available late evening if desired.
