We had a great stay from the very start. At check in the lady gave us loads of information about the best Christmas markets and was really welcoming. The apartment itself was clean and a really decent size. It's location was the best thing; virtually at the entrance the the Alte Market Christmas Market and the huge ice rink on Heumarkt. There are

The twin room was spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds and equipped with all the facilities a guest could possibly need. The service was excelent, very helpful and kind staff! - The people at the Hilton Koln are allways friendly and helpful. This is always good in a country outside of the US.

We thought that the standard of cleanliness and service of Sofitel was excellent and the food in the restaurant and tapas bar was also of high quality. The hotel was booked with some trepidation as the location, using google street view, looked uninspiring. It is on a fairly busy road junction, but our room on the 6th floor was very quiet. The hotel stored our cycles in a store room inside. Facilities at the hotel were superb ... a well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, sink, and all the basic utensils plus bedroom and separate small lounge area with couch, tv, desk and small table. Great location for exploring the town.
