Near the motorway so easy to find Kitchen served food till 21.30 so good for later arrival. Quality of breakfast poor compared with other hotel chains. Scrambled egg awful and cold cuts of low quality.

Near the hotel you can visit Gotha with its historic quarter, Friedenstein castle, nature museum, water art, Cranach House, town-hall and Augustinian church. There is also the Thuringian forest narrow-gauge railway. Within 10 km is the oldest horseracing track in Boxberg. The spa towns of Tabarz and Friedrichroda are within 15 km, as is Reinhardsbrunn castle. 20 km away is the Thuringian schnaps manufacturer, and Arnsstedt with its associations to Bach.

Travelling information

Exit the A4 motorway at Gotha and continue on the B247 (Ohrdrufer Straße) in the direction of Stadtmitte (the centre of town). After the railway bridge, turn right when you reach the 1st big traffic light junction and continue on the B7 for Erfurt. Continue along the route until you reach a small railway bridge. Turn into the 1st road on the right-hand side (Clara Zetkin Straße). After approximately 500 metres, you will see the hotel on the left-hand side. The hotel is also very easy to find via the well-marked hotel route.
