Saint Geniez d'Olt lies at approx. 59 km. North of Millau in the department l'Aveyron. It is a medievel city and is marked by beautiful façades and several monuments. The department l'Aveyron had 10 villages which are qualified as les plus beaux villages de France, which means the most beautiful villages of France. It is therefore the trendsetter of all of France, especially the Dordogne. These villages are all worth visiting; Sainte-Eulalie, Saint-Côme d'Olt, Sauveterrre de Rouergue, Estaing, Conques, Brousse le Chateau, Belcastel, Peyre, Najac and la Couvertoirade. During a walk along the river the Lot, you can also enjoy one of the many other villages. The region is also excellent to make tracks by horse or by canoe through one of the many rivers. Because of the mountainious environment, you can also practise speleology and parapenting.
