Lovely setting. We loved the vine-covered courtyard and the restored well. Great location next to a street with plenty of outdoor dining options. Would have loved to try the restaurant in the courtyard if we had more time! Also the room we had (the one adjacent to reception) was cool despite the lack of fan and 34c heat outside. To be honest I was a little apprehensive when booking the room as it seemed too good value to be true but in the end it was..!.

Very cheap hotel, so luxury can not be expected, but room and bathroom was clean, breakfast was OK. The restaurant in the courtyard with the same name is fantastic! Reservation of a table is recommended. Looks can be deceiving, we're postively surprised by our stay here. The rooms are comfortable, quaint and quite large which was perfect for 3 girls travelling together. Would definitely stay there again as it is very well worth the price!. The hotel is very convenient. It has a good restaurant itself, but in the square opposite there is an excellent range of restaurants, bistros, bars and brasseries. It is basic, but it's clean, very convenients and has parking. Loved the quirkiness of the place, the courtyard with vines over the top. Virtually in the centre of the town with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Breakfast was sufficient and good value for money - lovely coffee!!. This hotel is in the centre of Dijon, and is a perfect location especially if you have a car. Staff are wonderful, and the 300 year old rooms are warm and comfortable. I will only use this hotel whilst in Dijon. The people at the hotel were very friendly. We could park our car at the premises. Walking out of the hotel you're in a nice area with plenty of restaurants and student bars. Safe parking, not a bad location and right in an area with student bars and restaurants, but with no noise problems. It's not expensive is it. All the staff were great. Nothing not to like. Parking onsite in the barn under the main hotel and right by the city centre to walk out. Room clean and tidy, staff friendly. Beautiful old surroundings - very rustic and French, in an excellent location. The old city of Dijon was areal highlight of our trip - beautiful!. Charming ramshackle 15th Century building, in a quiet courtyard, very central. There is also a good restaurant which is not the same management. The location was just a few minutes walk from the centre of this beautiful city. Pillow was just a long roll, really uncomfortable. Wifi was not the best but enough to communicate overseas. Excellent place to stay as students!. the big cobweb on the wall in the bedroom and no shower curtain which meant that the floor got flooded everytime someone had a shower. No heating until October however I was given an electric heater as soon as I mentioned I had a poor heart. A bit tired. Only having a small car and having to squeeze through the doors into the cobbled barn to park. Larger cars have a different garage. When you book tell them what car you have!. Wi-fi didn't work in our room - too far from the server. The efficient, and attractive, breakfast lady could have managed the occasional smile... Beware driving into driveway as it is narrow. Breakfest was bland and poor, but this is unfortunately quite normal in France. There were no pillows. Average breakfast, parking can be a challenge if you can't park like the French. Parking a little tight for a large car, restaurant smells filter through to the rooms. WiFi broke down on that day but those things happen.. Noise travels from room to room as the doors seem to be very thin. very convenient location. Nothing. You have to go up some stairs to get to the lobby and some more to get to the room, with backpacks it can be strenuous. The bathroom had mold due to no windows for ventilation. Bed was older and too soft. Pillow 'system' was unusual. Narrow, steep, winding stairway to our room was difficult to navigate with luggage (not true for all rooms). Unsympathetic modernisation of very old building. Parking could be an issue, the garage is a bit of a squeeze but if you arrive early ask for the garage in the courtyard. Breakfast plain and lack of choice - budget Ibis do better. 'Shabby chic' would glamorise it too much - frankly it was just shabby. cold rooms, leaking toilet, parking garage is really really hard to park in and out of. The rooms need some TLC. Reqires some updating. very surprised about final price (very expensive breakfast and parking). Poor accommodation. No staff on duty (Saturday evening). Filthy bathroom. Cobwebs in bedroom. Someone smoking in their room next door, so a foul smell permeating into the shared landing.
