Our rooms on the ground floor (a former stable in the long distant past) of this charming property were artistically decorated and very comfortable. In a wonderful hidden position with a large lake populated by various bird life including geese and a pair of Australian swans. Our delightful host Sabine was very knowledgeable about the Champagne area, and advised on a number of local champagne producers. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights there, which gave us plenty of time to explore the sur.
alle vurderinger » Everything! Our room (superior suite) was spacious and clean. Our hosts were welcoming and very friendly. They prepared us a beautiful home cooked meal which we shared at their family table as we had arrived on bikes and were too exhausted to go out in the evening. We had free range of the property which includes a beautiful lake with a flock of geese and ducks. We fell in love with it all and would look forward to going back again if the opportunity arose. Host is an excellent host at her bed-and-breakfast and makes you feel right at home! She enjoys meeting people from all over the world. Lovely, quiet location in the beautiful Champagne area countryside and short driving distance to Reims and Epernay. Host gave us very good restaurant recommendation and sight-seeing information for the Champagne area. We would stay there again!. Beautiful location in the French countryside. Extremely quiet! Hosts are very friendly and kind. Rooms are immaculate. Definitely a bed and breakfast atmosphere. Country location has easy access to Epernay and other Champagne-area attractions. Hosts provide terrific recommendations for food and champagne businesses. Cost is very cheap for what is a very nice room and location. Sabine is a delightful host and we received a warm welcome. The property is quite hard to find from GPS but excellent instructions were sent by the owner. Bright clean room in an outbuilding. Fabulous and generous breakfast on the terrace of the main house, overlooking a small lake. We look forward to returning soon. Beautiful location although a little hard to find at first. A delightful place full of interesting objects. Hard to find as our GPS kept sending us down an un-made road which involved fording a fast-running creek. After booking, suggest contact Sabine directly for detailed directions. The direction provided on the letsbookhotel.com site were not detailed enough to find the property. After an hour of searching a lovely local lady showed us the way in her car. A little bit hard to find near the small town of Chatillon-sur-Marne, would recommend a better map for finding the place. Also, be sure to have cash on hand to pay when checking out---no credit cards accepted. Not a big deal, but some rooms have to share a toilet. The toilet room was always spotless. Internet doesn't really reach to guest house, but you can get it near the main house no problem. Nothing. Internet needed a plug-in in the room underneath rather than wireless. Not a big problem. Nothing. Lack of precise directions, it is virtually impossible to find even with a sat nav and we eventually had to telephone for directions even though we were only about 1 mile away. shared toilet facilities. Only Wifi in main building, separate toilet in budget room. -Mattress a bit uncomfortable. It was fine, but it caused a some back pain. It was a little out of our way, but that was my poor planning. However, I am pleased that we stayed there. cold trip to toilet. It is hard to find, as the gps cannot locate the house. Somehow our room has a bad smell and it last for whole night. It did run out of hot water in the middle of my shower. Whilst the sitting area in our room was light and bright the bedroom was dark and a little glume. Light colourer bedding may have helped.
