The Mansion del Angel is one of the best Hotels I've ever stayed in! It is a late 1800's/early 1900's palace/mansion converted into a picturesque hotel with 12-16 guest rooms, each decorated differently from the next. It is a 10 minute walk to the historical district, which was very convenient for sight seeing. I was so impressed with the hotel that I took pictures of all the unoccupied rooms! The staff were incredibly nice and hospitable, and tended to our every need with a smile. They booked .
alle vurderinger » The rooms are wonderful and very well equipped. For Quito it is a great location for travelling around and also the staff are excellent. The garden and spa area is lovely. My husband and I both had a massage and jacuzzi which was fantastic. This is the best place to stay in Quito. The hot water bottles in the bed were a lovely touch. The hotel has relatively large, well decorated rooms. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They arranged a tour guide at the last minute for us who did a great job of shoeing us around.The meals were served in a nice, intimate setting and the food was quite good. Absolutely one of the best value hotels for experienced world travelling couples. A visual treat into yesteryear. You will truly feel pampered with local culture, antiques and care, The 'Mansion del Angel' is a must stay in Quito. the staff wer wonderful - friendly efficient do anything to help you. the facility is spectacular and picturesque. the food was good. i'd love to return and i'd recommend it to anyone. The location is not very convenient and you need to take taxis to go anywhere. Both days there was loud noises outside the facility that woke us up well before 7am. The last night we were there a neighbor started working on his roof with powerful grinding equipment before 6am. That was very irritating. You have to be careful getting yourself and baggage from the taxi or car into the gateway of the hotel...other than that 'Mansion del Angel' is a memorable experience... Couldn't stay longer!. Not close to old town, could not walk to plaza. Surrounding neighborhood busy & commercial. I got sick. The hotel is very old and was mold infested. In the morning I told the office that I needed to check out because I have asma and I was feeling sick. When I asked for a refund for the remaining money paid they said they could not help me with a refund. So they just dont care about anyone or anything just the money. I checked into the Marriot the rest of the week and all was well.
