  When I arrived at almost midnight after a long day of travel, the front desk said I did not have a reservation although I had my confirmation.   The rooms were well-designed and our bed was a true double (rather than two beds pushed together - bonus!). We had a top-floor room under the eaves, which had interesting proportions and a nice view onto Kinsky Park, which is a tree-covered hill next to the hotel.   The hotel is out of "old Prague" but only 15 - 20 minutes walk from Charles Bridge; which is why it is pretty good value. The rooms appeared quite new & most renovations of the building are done - except the courtyard. They now have a buffet breakfast which was very good in the downstairs restaurant. We were traveling by - Owner's niece, the receptionist who works on weekends, is EXCELLENT and VERY helpful. She treated all my family's issues with great care and diligence and in a prompt manner. Hotel, even though under construction/renovation on street level for 2 more months, was a great place to stay (close by city and Charles bridge (2 tram stops away)) and had a wonderful restaurant in Rathskeller downstairs.
