Beautiful location on the hillside. View from the balcony was really nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the stroll to West Lake thru wonderful scenery from the hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful but I don't think English is their strong suit (aside from the American Chinese owner). Beds are rock hard. I'm talking hardest beds in our whole China trip, including hard sleeper trains. I'm young but as a result, my hip gave me a bit of trouble the day after our 1st night. We doubled a second doona over and laid on that and it was much, much better. Also finding it is impossible as there are no signs, we found a friendly local and got him to ring and get someone sent to escort/ find us.
