The location of the hotel is fantastic, just beside the lake with the beautiful pagodas. It is possible to take a boat cruise of the lakes by just walking a few steps from the hotel. Elephant Trunk Hill is just nearby. There was a reasonable selection of meals at the western-style restaurant. There are also many restaurants within a short walking distance. The waterfall display is something quite unique.. We would stay here again if we come back to Guilin because the location is fantastic.
alle vurderinger » The Hotel , whilst quite old , offered all the facilities travels could expect , the staff, were anxious to please and the service efficient and quick .Bedrooms were spacious , bedding new ,excellent quality and changed daily. Very central. Close to everything. You can change foreign currency in the reception. Good breakfast, mainly Chinese, but some slices ham and cheese. Guilin is a must. Great hotel. Has a waterfall show every night. Clean rooms and excellent staff. Walking distance to numerous local and western food shops. excellent location by the lake. The main shopping district is round the corner which is very convenient for shopping and also eating out. Excellent location - convenient to restaurants, river walk &Elephant Trunk Hill. Excellent buffet breakfast. Location perfect, both staff and amenities correspond to 5 star rating. Location was excellent and staff very helpful indeed. great hotel. the waterfall is impressing. Although they had made an effort to make the bed softer for us with a thin mattress protector, the bed was still a bit firmer than we like. Our room was at the back and there was a lot of noise from bars and karaoke. However, we were so tired we still managed to get to sleep quickly. The Spa and Gym one of the largest I have seen ,was well equiped , clean. The opening hours 0700 Hrs until 1900 Hrs did not enabled majority of guests ,who were out all day on trips to enjoy the facilities. .Suggest that the Spa is open longer hours in the evening. In-room WiFi is very poor. Slow connection or no data at all. Nothing. The bed was very hard but that is common in China. none. Staff don't smile & always busy attending to calls then waiting customers. The room. Not much choices of food for the breakfast. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were not well trained. Guests had to look for vacant tables on their own while waitresses were just standing around.
