  We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Beds very comfortable and quiet during the night. We had been concerned about city noise but was very peaceful! Restaurant for breakfast was wonderful. Great food, service, price and decor Was just a night stay, but woul... hva folk sier » d definitely stay there again and have recommended the restaurant to my family fwho live in Victoria. - I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

  I had a nice little 4 room suite for less than $100!!! That is good value! There was a living room with cable tv, a small kitchenette with fridge, stove, and utensils (including a real cast-iron frying pan!), and a bathroom and bedroom. The place was quiet despite being close to a main street (Gorge Road). I did not have a vehicle, but was easily ... hva folk sier » able to walk the 1 km to a supermarket and the somewhat longer distance to downtown Victoria. There is city-bus service just on the street in front of - We were a group of 14 people staying in this motel for one night. Everyone in the group was satisfied for the amount we paid. Despite some of the reviews we read before saying that there's a bad smell around, non of us had such an experience. Maybe we were lucky, or the problem has been solved somehow. Choose this motel if you can't afford a luxury hotel, yet you want a clean place to stay at for some nights. Cheers, Mahyad

  Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money. The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe. It is really close to the harbour, I could walk everywher... hva folk sier » e essentially. I think people complaining that there are homeless people.....listen they are not evil they are just people going through a rough time - The rooms, although old, were very clean and comfortable. It was within easy walking distance to tourist attractions. The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable about Victoria. An enjoyable stay!
