Built in Bulgarian National Revival style, the Hikers Hostel can be found just 200 metres from the Ancient Amphitheatre, about a 5-minute walk from the centre of Plovdiv, and offers you free Wi-Fi, a self-catering kitchen, a buffet breakfast, a bar and barbecues in summer. You can choose between private twin rooms and single beds in a dormitory. Bathroom facilities are shared and there is an individual locker for every guest. The Hikers Hostel occupies 2 buildings offering views of the city and you can also spend relaxing hours under the fig trees in the garden. Guided tours in the region can be organised on request. Maps and detailed travel hiking information is offered as well. Restaurants and shops can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The Plovdiv Train and Bus Station is 2 km away. I loved the friendly atmosphere at the hostel in the first place. The staff and the other guests make you feel part of the hikers' community with your very arrival. The location is great- right in the heart of the old town, besides there is a lovely yard with fig trees and amazing panorama view of the city from the reception hall. The place is easy to find, fun to stay at and an excellent opportunity to meet interesting and nice people. I went there for the first time because I visited Plovdiv .
