There are several things I loved about Scorial Rio Hotel:
1. The rooms were very very comfortable with the most up to date technology, beautiful bathrooms, and most importantly, very clean.
2. The Flamengo area is a great in Rio de Janeiro to stay, where you can stay at a great hotel, but not pay the price as you would in Copacabana or Ipanema. Restaurants in the area are great and its a safe area. There is also lots of shopping that can be done in Flamengo.

shops, drugstores and stores. Pleasant helpful staff. Gym not tops if you are into that. Pool not exactly clean but that`s same most places in Rio. Room very comfortable and clean. Bedding not tops but it`s what you pay for. Price reasonable comparatively speaking.

Its location is very good for the best beach and safety in Rio area. The staff is so nice that you don't have to worry about anything though they cannot speak good English. My special thanks give to the staff who found and returned the scarf my wife forgot in the restaurant. Also the food is unique and delicious. will use it again. -

We were just 5 minutes walk from the Copacabana beach, also near to Sugar Loaf, a lot of taxis to get anywhere in Rio. Even in the morning rush hour the transfer to the airport took only some 20 minutes. We had a very big and comfortable room with two(!) TV screens, one big table to sit around and to eat, and a smaller one with ratan "sofa" to enjoy e.g. a coffee or drink, i. e. very unusual and luxury for that price! Helpful staff at the reception, with bell-boy. Very good breakfast. Very good
