The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights.

The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and
accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom
were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location
of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy
shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk.
Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

We stayed 10 days in a delux suite with sea view. There is a jacuzzi and a double shower in the open bathroom (seperate toilet). The room was very nice with a lot of space, good functioning air con and a very nice balcony with sun beds which we used every afternoon. We also think that the value for money was very good.
