  We stayed at the Solar do Carmo for 2 nights in March. The hotel is situated quite close to the old town on a street of renovated colonial style buildings. Some of the surrounding houses have yet to be renovated but don't be put off by the exterior. Inside the hotel is a lovely spacious reception area, decorated in a traditional style. The layout ... hva folk sier » is strange and unconventional. We had room 201 which was under the cafe/bar area. It was a lovely spacious room with a nice balcony overlooking the ba - I cannot imagine a hotel that could better reflect the most charming aspects of Salvador. Levi provided the friendliest service I have experienced in my extensive worldwide travels. I strongly agree with all the positive things that Christina of Carnago, Italy has reported in her review.
