  Me and my wife celebrated our 10th anniversary in Rio, and we booked 2 beds turns out that the whole room was full.   The location is convenient - near to the beaches, supermarkets, money exchangers, and a metro stop. The area feels safe. The staff speaks good English and are helpful if you approach them. You can borrow a hair dryer if any is available. Towels can be bought at 5Rs if you need one. The shower and toilet are maintained clean by the friendly cleanin... hva folk sier » g lady. The lockers in the room are big enough to contain a small sized luggage (you will be given a key to lock so don't have to bring your own lock) - We really like kitchen/domestic ladies, they are very friendly, happy and they work very hard. Overall staff is great. Ehostel is very clean and modern, safe area. Make sure you bring your own padlock (they charge 15) Nice/short walk to the beach, many shops and restaurants around. You can book organised trips through ehostel and airport shuttle as well. Play station, laptop, iron, kitchen facilities can be used by guests.

  The hostel was in a place near to a main street, we arrived at night with the taxi and feel safety, but I don't know how long you can go out there nearby, because we didn't do it. We rented a douple room, it was very clean und the space was okay. 8Min. To walk you can take a metro, where you can go to ipanema and copacabana in 10min.. At daytime i... hva folk sier » t is safe.   Perfect location, you can go everywhere easily, lots of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, banks and pharmacies close-by. The beach is 3 blocks away and so is the lagoon. You can rent a bike in the hostel. Great staff. Nice breakfast. Amazing people from all around the world.
