  Staff was very kind. They let us in the room although it were 7:00 in the morning (when we arrived from the flight). They even gave us breakfast when we arrived.   We booked our room without balcony, but we ended with the room wiht balcony looking at the Sugar Loaf mountain. What a nice surprise! Our room was really clean, spacious and cozy with our own fridge. Breakfast is basic with the choice of savoury or sweet, but is served on the roof terrace and that was very nice.   Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum.
